SLAM Dunk 2013 organisers have announced seven more acts for the music festival taking place in Hatfield in May.
Sleeping With Sirens, Memphis May Fire, Andrew McMahon, Man Overboard, MC Lars, The Summer Set and Mallory Knox have all been added to the line-up for the day-long rock, pop-punk, ska and metal event taking place at the University of Hertfordshire in May.
They join the likes of All Time Low, Pierce The Veil, Streetlight Manifesto, Woe Is Me, The Early November, The Wonder Years, Four Year Strong and The Skints on the poster.
Slam Dunk’s 2013 southern leg arrives at the Forum Hertfordshire in Hatfield on Sunday, May 26 – the day after the opening Leeds leg of the festival. A new Midlands date takes place in Wolverhampton on Monday, May 27.
Topping the list of latest SDF additions are Michigan’s Sleeping With Sirens, one of the bands to watch out for in 2013.
The band have enjoyed multi-million views on all their online videos, countless sold out tours in the US and are now recording a new album out via Rise records later in the year.
Having announced their UK headline run recently, it was upgraded within days and most of the shows are now sold out.
Also added to the line-up are Texan five-piece Memphis May Fire, whose set at Slam Dunk 2013 will be fans’ only non-London chance to see them in the UK this year.
Andrew McMahon will be playing acoustically, and he will be joined at the festival by pop-punks Man Overboard, post-punk laptop rapper MC Lars, Arizona pop-punkers The Summer Set and current BBC Radio 1 play-list rock darlings Mallory Knox.
Now in its eighth year, and fourth in Hatfield, Slam Dunk has expanded to a full three-day touring festival.
The new Midlands festival will be a full version of the event and will have the same acts and number of stages – seven – including outdoor stages as the Leeds and Hatfield sites.
Tickets costing £34 or £38 including the infamous after-show party are on sale now.
All shows are 14 plus and after-shows 18 plus.
