TWO bands for the price of one is the New Year offer from Shades of Blue, the monthly blues club at The Maltings Arts Theatre in St Albans.

Dr Shades and the Hill Street Blues Band are appearing at the club from 8.15pm next Saturday, January 26.

Newly formed, the Hill Street Blues Band features experienced musicians who play classics in the tradition of artists like Smiley Lewis, Chuck Berry and Howling Wolf.

Dr Shades with the lead vocals of Chris Lord, promises some standards and some not so well-known blues sounds.
