A TRIBUTE show to music legend Roy Orbison, The Everly Brothers and Buddy Holly will be rocking a St Albans venue this weekend.
THE music of ‘The Big O’ comes to the stage in St Albans this weekend.
The Voice of Roy Orbison, a two-hour concert special, arrives at the Alban Arena on Sunday night.
A superb touring production, it features the sounds of The Big O, together with two hugely successful acts of this era, The Everly Brothers and Buddy Holly.
The audience can expect to hear more than two hours of non-stop hits including favourites such as Only The Lonely, It’s Over, Crying, Wake Up Little Suzie, Peggy Sue, Pretty Woman, Cathy’s Clown and Rave On.
Damien Edwards takes on the role of the Man in Black. He played Roy Orbison, to great acclaim, in The Official Roy Orbison Story four times between 2000 and 2003.
And if you haven’t seen Damien perform as Roy Orbison before, you are in for a treat.
Not only does he look like the man himself, but when you hear his fantastic vocal range and amazing falsetto you will find it easy to believe it could be the real thing.
The show also features singers from the West End together with backing band The Rockets.
If you fancy absorbing yourself in a tremendous tribute to a true rock ‘n’ roll pioneer, tickets cost £16.
Visit www.alban-arena.co.uk to book tickets or call the Alban Arena box office on 01727 844488. The show starts at 7.30pm.
