WELSH comedian Rhod Gilbert brings his latest stand-up show – The Man With The Flaming Battenberg Tattoo – to the Alban Arena in St Albans next week.
AS tattoos go, a burning Battenberg cake nestling on a pillow inked on your shoulder isn’t you traditional choice of body art.
But then multi-award winning comedian Rhod Gilbert isn’t your regular stand-up.
The Welsh wonder’s The Man With The Flaming Battenberg Tattoo arrives at the Alban Arena in St Albans next Monday and Tuesday at 8pm.
Following several sell-out UK tours and best-selling stand-up DVDs, Gilbert is back on the road with a new live show.
A regular on Live At The Apollo and with his own BBC One show Ask Rhod Gilbert, he’s one of the world’s hottest comedians – or at least his tattoo is!
His stand-up rants on life’s minor irritations are legendary, but this year, he’s a more mellow fellow altogether.
He’s now so laid-back he even let someone tattoo that Battenberg on him.
Will the new, chilled-out Rhod get his girl and live happily ever after?
Or will it be microwaved baked potato for one again?
Could it be the Mr Angry of comedy as you’ve never seen him before?
Tickets for his Alban Arena show cost £25.
