Hertfordshire Chorus celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s Coronation with a special show featuring the music that was played at the Coronation in 1953.

The concert being at London’s Royal Festival Hall on Tuesday, June 4 at 7.30pm falls 60 years and one day after the Coronation.

For this anniversary concert Hertfordshire Chorus is joined by Crouch End Festival Chorus and by the Dessoff Choirs from New York.

That’s a total of 300 voices and, to do full justice to such forces, the concert will also include Walton’s Belshazzar’s Feast with baritone soloist Ashley Riches.

The choirs and the London Orchestra da Camera will be conducted by David Temple, who is not only musical conductor of the two English choirs but also worked with the Dessoff Choirs during recent USA tours with Ray Davies of The Kinks.

Tickets are from £9 to £30.
