Mitch Benn comes to Cambridge on September 5

Musical comedian Mitch Benn will be calling in at Cambridge while touring the UK with his new show.

One of the most sought-after acts on the comedy circuit will return to Cambridge Junction on Friday, September 5, to perform his Mitch Ben is the 37th Beatle. Having toured all over the world since he started his career 20 years ago, this will be the second time he has played at the venue in Clifton Way, having performed his Reduced Cirumstances piece there in May 2013.

His highly acclaimed one-man show from last year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival – the arts festival where Tim Vine won the award for ‘best one-liner’ two years running – will combine his Scouse upbringing and life-long obsession with two of Liverpool’s most famous sons, with of course his love for music.

Mitch is a regular writer and performer on The Now Show for BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio 2’s It’s Been a Bad Week.

On TV, Mitch appears regularly on BBC One’s The One Show as the writer and arranger of The Complaints Choir, and in 2009 he made appearances on Watchdog performing songs highlighting consumer grievances.

Tickets for the show, which starts at 8pm, cost £16 with a £1 booking fee. To book, call the box office on 01223 511 511 or visit
