22:35 01 February 2014
Music fans will find out the V Festival 2014 line-up next month.
This year’s V Festival will take place over the weekend of Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17 at Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex, and Weston Park, in Staffordshire.
No V Festival 2014 line-up acts have been confirmed yet by organisers, although website eFestivals is reporting Justin Timberlake as “strongly rumoured” to be headlining the event.
A status update on the official V Festival Facebook page on Friday said: “Thinking it might be time for a Russell re-Brand? New look and feel for V Festival 2014?”
The home page of the Virgin Media sponsored festival’s website – www.vfestival.com – has since had a revamp, with the words “Bring the Vibe 04.02.14 – 5pm”.
The festival has since released V Festival – The Movie, a 13-minute YouTube video of last year’s events in Hylands and Weston.
A V Festival Facebook status update last month cryptically read: “03:03:14 Time TBC.”
A further posting has since confirmed the line-up will be announced on Monday, March 3 at 8pm.
It read: “Line up announcement is 3 March. Tickets go on sale on 7th of March at 9am.”
A limited number of early bird tickets for V 2014 went on sale after last summer’s festival, which was headlined by Beyonce and Kings of Leon.
Following March’s line-up announcement, Virgin Media customers’ pre-sale will open on Tuesday, March 4.
Essex residents’ pre-sale will open for 24 hours from 10am on Thursday, March 6.
General tickets for 2014 are due to go on sale again on Friday, March 7 at 9am.
