THE Wombats are the latest act confirmed to join Red Hot Chili Peppers at their exclusive UK shows at Knebworth Park and Sunderland this summer.

The Liverpudlian trio are the final band to be confirmed for the Knebworth Park date on Saturday, June 23.

They join a supporting line-up also featuring grime superstar Dizzee Rascal and Reverend and The Makers.

The Wombats will also join RHCP at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light on Sunday, June 24.

The indie band started out at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts and have since soared to worldwide attention.

Their hits include Moving to New York, Let’s Dance to Joy Division and Tokyo (Vampires and Wolves).

Ticket for Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Knebworth show are on sale now.

A limited number of grandstand seated tickets are also available for the concert.
