Organisers of the 2014 Reading & Leeds Festival look set to announce two more headliners for this summer’s line-up.
The twin-sited rock festival returns to Reading and Leeds over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
Blink-182 and Arctic Monkeys have already been confirmed as main stage headliners, with the likes of You Me At Six, Jake Bugg, Disclosure, Metronomy, Courteeners, The 1975 and Architects also playing across the weekend.
And there will be another headliner announcement on Monday, March 10 during Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 evening show, which starts at 7pm.
A tweeted picture from the festival’s official Twitter handle @OfficialRandL suggests there will be four headliners this year.
The picture shows a person holding four playing cards, two featuring Blink-182 and Arctic Monkeys and the other two with question marks on them, with the words: “This year we’re giving you four...”
And replying to a tweet from @isabelswinburn, the festival confirmed there will be two headliners in Monday’s announcement.
Yesterday (Saturday), Reading and Leeds programmer @Jon_RandL also cryptically tweeted: “About time leeds and reading had a female headliner? #RandL14 #InternationalWomensDay”
Tweets from the Reading & Leeds Festival’s official account over the last couple of days have also revealed more of this August’s line-up.
On Friday the festival tweeted: “Something for your weekend, here’s a teaser of just a few of the names playing in the @BBCR1 Dance Stage.#RandL14”
The tweet showed a picture featuring Andy C, Flume, Boys Noize, Ben Pearce and electronic duo Bondax.
Yesterday (Saturday) @OfficialRandL tweeted: “So last night we teased you with a few names playing the @BBCR1 Dance Stage and tonight were going to give away a few @1Xtra names from 7pm”
The BBC Radio station later confirmed Giggs, Joey Badass, Danny Brown, Lizzo and Vic Mensa as all appearing on 1Xtra’s stage.
