Dirty Pretty Things return to Cambridge on Friday December 1 when they play a sold out date at the Corn Exchange.

The band, whose album Waterloo To Anywhere reached number three in the charts, played a sell-out gig at the Junction earlier in the year.

Frontman Carl Barat will, inevitably, be forever known for his love/hate relationship with Pete Doherty.

The merest mention of the duo's former band, The Libertines, being enough to excite a generation of rock fans.

While Doherty's recent musical career seems to have been overshadowed by his personal life, Barat has achieved more critical acclaim.

Joined in the band by fellow ex-Libertine Gary Powell, one time Doherty stand-in Anthony Rossomando and ex-Cooper Temple Clause bassist Didz Hammond, Barat now has a settled four-piece.

The band had a busy summer, playing numerous festivals in Europe and they even found time for a live appearance on David Letterman's The Late Show in August.

Dirty Pretty Things play the Cambridge Corn Exchange on Friday December 1 at 7.30pm. Support will come from Swedish rockers Mando Diao and London band Larrikin Love.
