Duo at St Peter’s Church, St Albans

Well-known local musicians Arwen Newband and Nicholas Turner will be giving the lunchtime concert at St Peter’s Church, St Albans, next Wednesday, June 18.

The duo are violin and viola soloists respectively, who will present a programme of music by Mozart, Spohr and Handel-Halvorsen.

Johan Halvorsen was a Norwegian composer, where he also became a prominent conductor. Among his best works which will be played, are duos for the two instruments based on themes by G.F. Handel.

The free concert starts at 1pm with donations towards Grove House.
