A free concert will be given by singer-songwriter Joanna Eden on Friday, November 9, raising money for the Indonesian Tsunami Appeal.

Joanna, an award-winning artist, pianist and jazz singer who sells out Ronnie Scott’s Club in Soho, will being singing at the Quaker Meeting House in Saffron Walden High Street.

Jazz musician, Orphy Robinson, brings together top jazz players to present Van Morrison’s Astral Weeks at Saffron Hall on Friday, November 16. The vocals will be sung by Sarah Jane Morris, best known for her work with The Communards on songs including Don’t Leave Me This Way.

The Ballads of Child Migration, narrated by Barbara Dickson at Cambridge Corn Exchange, is a tribute to the 100,000 children from Britain who were forcibly sent abroad to Australia and Canada, often lied to that their parents were dead and then exploited and abused.
