CELEBRITY chef Levi Roots will be coming to the Galleria in Hatfield this weekend to give demonstrations, tips and advice as part of the Closer to Food festival.

The three-day culinary extravaganza opened today (Friday) and runs until Sunday, November 4.

And there will be a special appearance from the former Dragons’ Den contestant on Sunday at 12.30pm, 2pm and 3.40pm.

Mr Roots, who lives in Brixton, South London, said: “I am very much looking forward to coming to the food festival at the Galleria.

“I want to show people about Caribbean food and for me that is what it is all about.

“Helping them learn about the foods and the flavours and sharing it with the whole community.”

Mr Roots said he will also bringing his guitar on Sunday because he likes combining the two.

The creator of Reggae Reggae sauce said he loves doing demonstrations in front of crowds and schools to share his passion for cooking.

Members from the award-winning Novelli Academy will also be showcasing their culinary skills to help shoppers get ideas for their own cooking.

There will also be an Italian food market and the centres restaurants will be offering an array of discounts and tasting sessions.
