Lenny Henry’s Pop Life tour arrives at the Wyllyotts Theatre, off Darkes Lane, on Saturday, November 3.

Perhaps best known on TV these days for the Premier Travel Inn adverts, Lenny has been in the entertainment business for more than 30 years and is returning to where it all began – comedy.

Pop Life will take the audience on a hilarious joyride through Lenny’s life using his first main passion of music entwined with his renowned witty charisma.

Music has always played a huge part in Lenny’s life.

And he’ll play piano in front of an audience for the first time, having recently passed his grade four piano exam.

Following the rave reviews Lenny Henry achieved from playing Antipholus of Syracuse in The Comedy Of Errors at The National Theatre, he has returned to the stand-up forum with Pop Life.

It’s a joyous, freaky show about just how music goes better with everything and how it affects us in all our lives.

But it’s not just about music. Lenny will also enlighten fans on his thoughts on the Olympic and Paralympic fever that has swept across Britain and open up about his friends and family in a show containing plenty of laughs and lots of funky tunes along the way.

Lenny wrote Pop Life with his long-term collaborator Kim Fuller, who worked with Lenny on Three Of A Kind, The Lenny Henry Show and Saturday Night Live.

Tickets for the show at the Wyllyotts Theatre cost £21 and are available from the box office on 01707 645005.
