A WEEKEND electronic music festival is set to take place in the grounds of Knebworth House this summer.
The Eastern Electrics Festival will move from London to Knebworth in 2013 [Picture: Marc Sethi]Promoters are moving the Eastern Electrics Festival 2013 to the Hertfordshire stately home’s estate, with camping available on-site for revellers.
A single-day dance festival took place on the Greenwich Peninsula, in London’s Docklands, near the 02 Arena, last year.
Now expanded to three days and two nights, the electro event will be held in Knebworth Park from Friday, August 2 to Sunday, August 4.
As well as an outdoor main stage, there will be a number of arenas and tents to allow DJs to entertain techno and house fans all night without causing noise disturbance.
Although the weekender’s biggest headliners haven’t been announced yet, 40 acts have been named, including Seth Troxler, Magda and techno titan Chris Liebing.
And London club promoters are promising revellers 44 hours of music from more than 100 artists.
Around 15,000 festival-goers will party from 2pm to 6am on the opening two days, and 2pm to 10pm on the Sunday.
A limited number of early-bird camping tickets for the whole weekend went on sale today (Thursday) at £95, plus booking fees.
Standard camping tickets will be £145, plus booking fees.
Day tickets will be available from mid April.
The event is subject to licensing and strictly over 18s only. Visit www.easternelectrics.com for further ticket details.
