BUDDING classical musicians are being offered the chance to rehearse with one of the county’s leading orchestras next week.
The Hertford Symphony Orchestra (HSO) is holding an open rehearsal on Tuesday, September 18.
A spokeswoman said: “HSO is always keen to meet new players who would like to join.
“Whether you are a keen amateur or a professional and you would like to come and play with us, feel free to join us on Tuesday.”
The open rehearsal will take place at Mill Mead School, Port Vale, Hertford at 7.30pm.
The orchestra will be working on Tchaikovsky’s Symphony Orchestra No.4 under conductor Jonathan Mann.
The HSO has gained a reputation for its accomplished performances of exciting programmes, which has developed further with the appointment of its talented and ambitious new musical director, Jonathan Mann.
He studied conducting at the Royal Academy of Music, graduating with distinction last year, and is the founder and artistic director of the Cardiff Sinfonietta and has just completed a highly successful debut season with HSO.
This year Jonathan also took part in the Lucerne Easter Festival where he was selected to participate in Bernard Haitink’s master class.
