Joanovarc at new Stevenage rock academy

All-girl band Joanovarc will be playing an intimate acoustic set in Stevenage next weekend.

The Stevenage four-piece who have taken their AC/DC, Girlschool, and Joan Jett And The Blackhearts influenced act on to success in the States and Europe, as well as into millions of homes on X-Box Rock Band, will make an appearance at new instrument music store, Whammys in the indoor market on Saturday 8.

The show from 1pm is to promote the venture and associated Whammy’s Academy School of Rock which starts on September 10 at Marriotts School in the town.

The academy will take place every Monday night offering lessons in drums, guitar, bass and ukulele, with the first night a free open session with members of Joanovarc playing.
