THE new season at Herts Jazz Club gets underway this Sunday, January 6, with the James Pearson Trio playing.
House pianist at Ronnie Scott’s Club, James is one of the country’s most respected musicians. His work covers all genres of music, especially contemporary music, jazz and classical.
He has broadcast on all the major radio and television networks and this year his trio played a four night run at Birdland in New York. His piano playing and arrangements can be heard on over 50 albums. Among the many giants he has worked with are Elvin Jones, Wynton Marsalis, Buddy Greco and Johnny Griffin.
James is appearing from 8pm to 10.30pm at the club at Campus West, Welwyn Garden City. Tickets are £5 for students and under-21s, £11 in advance, £13 at the door and £8 for members.
