Day tickets are available for the 2014 Herts Jazz Festival in Welwyn Garden City.
Now that the latest Herts Jazz season has finished, club members will be looking towards this year’s three-day showcase in Welwyn Garden City.
The Herts Jazz Festival returns to the Hawthorne Theatre for a fourth time from Friday, September 12 to Sunday, September 14.
The event will feature headline performances from the Big Chris Barber Band, the John Taylor Quartet and Georgie Fame with the Alan Skidmore Quartet.
There are plenty of other big names from British jazz on the programme, including Ben Castle, Art Themen, Jean Toussaint, Orphy Robinson & Anthony Kerr, Clark Tracey, James Pearson, JJ Wheeler and more.
Day tickets for the 2014 festival went on sale earlier this month.
Festival director Clark Tracey said: “Weekend ticket sales have been very strong and now is the time to release the Saturday and Sunday tickets.
“We are very pleased to be able to offer allocated seating in the theatre – so the sooner you book the bigger your choice of seat.”
The Saturday ticket includes admission to see James Pearson, Art Themen, Nigel Price, Ben Castle, Jean Toussaint, Michael de Souza, John Taylor and Leon Greening.
The Sunday ticket lets music lovers watch the Herts Youth Jazz Ensemble, Clark Tracey, Mike Gorman, JJ Wheeler, Stickchops, Alan Barnes, Dave Newton and Alan Skidmore with Georgie Fame.
The jazz bonanza will have a similar format to last year’s event, with free of charge sessions in the foyer during the lunch and dinner breaks and after hours.
Day tickets for Saturday cost £50, £45 members and £15 students.
Sunday day tickets are £45, £40 members and £15 students.
Tickets are on sale via the Festival website – www.hertsjazzfestival.co.uk – and at the Hawthorne Theatre box office on 01707 357117.
