22:11 30 May 2014

Hertfordshire’s Strongest Man competition will be held in Hatfield this weekend.

The event will take place in Hatfield Market Place for the first time on Sunday, June 1 and will include a truck pull, car deadlift and log medley.

Paul Joseph, who is organising the competition, is encouraging spectators to come along on the day.

He said: “It is a massive, spectacular thing strong men do and the Market Place layout has quite a good layout for it.

“It is the same thing that the world’s strongest man competition does, just with smaller guys.”

The competition runs from 10am to 4pm.
