Calling all progrockers – members of the mighty Hawkwind are coming to Hitchin next month.
The Hawklords, featuring ex members of the cult band, will be at Club85 on October 26 as part of a European tour.
The band originally formed in 1978 from the disbanded Hawkwind under the leadership of frontman Robert Calvert, recording one album, 25 Years On. Now 34 years on an amalgam of former Hawkwind members are back under the Lords title with new album We Are One.
Support is from anarchic crusties The Astronauts. Formed in 1977 at the height of punk, the band has taken its rebellious ethos through eight albums.
Tickets are £15 in advance and £17.50 on the door.
