THERE’S another attack of laughs from the Happy Shark Comedy Club in St Albans next week.
The comedy night returns to The Horn pub on the first Monday of the month, with another excellent line-up, including some renowned TV comedians.
Tomorrow’s (Monday’s) October show will be headlined by hilarious storyteller and one of the stars of this year’s Edinburgh Festival, Elis James.
Having appeared on the likes of 8 Out of Ten Cats and Russell Howard’s Good News, as well as supporting Rhod Gilbert on two UK tours, it is only a matter of time before Elis becomes a huge household name in his own right.
Opening the show will be Fergus Craig, who you may have seen in Extras and Star Stories. Fergus is a much-acclaimed comic and won the 2009 Hackney Empire New Act of the Year.
Completing Monday’s line-up will be circuit regulars Gwilum Argos and Manos the Greek. The night will be compered by Simon Feilder.
The Happy Shark Comedy Club runs on the first Monday of every month at the Victoria Street pub, which has recently undergone a major refurbishment.
With all proceeds going to Open Door homeless shelter in St Albans, it also offers comedy-goers the opportunity to do something good at the same time as having a great night out.
Tickets are £6 in advance and are available from www.happysharkcomedy.co.uk, where you can also find further details about the club, or in person from The Horn.
If available, tickets will be available on the door for £7.
