A FOUR piece outfit will be bringing their nu-metal grunge sound to a Hitchin gig.
Stevenage band Efferus headline a Hitchin Club 85 gig next Thursday.
They have earned a reputation for their tight, powerful live performances and, as well as previous gigs at Club 85, have played at the likes of 02 Academy Islington.
The gig coincides with the launch of the band’s EP Born to Be, which will be available to download on the 17th. Drummer James Allen said: “We are all excited to finally be officially releasing our own material professionally printed, and we believe it will another benchmark in our career as a band following our music video for Katfish.
“We hope to carry on gigging as long as we can, and to reach as many new potential fans as possible.”
Support on the night comes in the form of heavy rock metal band Alone With Wolves, groove metal extraordinaires Spirytus, and alternative rock group Never a Hero.
Efferus, whose influences include Machine Head, Korn and Deftones, will be selling 50 limited edition physical copies of their EP on the night in what has been a busy year for the band.
“At present we have no album recording planned, but that will be something to discuss after the EP release depending on how it turns out,” added James.
“The highlight of the year for me personally was our tour, being out on the road with the band was definitely a great experience, and a look forward to hopefully doing so again in the future.
“We have come a long way the past few years after hiring Alex as our new frontman, and we hope to continue progressing for time to come.”
Doors open at 7.30pm, with tickets costing a fiver on the night.
