REMEMBER, remember the fifth of November. Gunpowder, treason and plot...
Bonfire Night 2012 is fast approaching and a number of huge firework displays are being arranged in Welwyn Hatfield and across Hertfordshire to mark the occasion.
Fireworks at Hatfield HouseGuy Fawkes celebrations will be held across the county once again in November.
With November 5 falling on a Monday this year, most displays will take place either the weekend before the big night or the weekend after.
Welwyn Garden City Football Club, however, will be staging its now annual display ahead of the rest on Friday, November 2.
There will be huge public displays in Hatfield, St Albans, Watford, Letchworth, Hertford and Potters Bar on Saturday, November 3. Redbourn’s display will also take place on the Saturday.
Cheshunt will host its 2012 display on Sunday, November 4, as will Harpenden Rugby Club and Butterfly World at Chiswell Green, near St Albans. There’s also a display in Letchworth on Sunday.
Stevenage’s Fairlands Valley spectacular will be held on Bonfire Night itself – Monday, November 5 – as will Blueharts Hockey Club’s display in Hitchin.
A free display will also take place in Borehamwood on Bonfire Night.
The annual fireworks display in Ware will be held on Saturday, November 10.
