The 41st Ware Firework Display will take place the weekend after Guy Fawkes’ Night on Saturday, November 10 at its usual venue.

Thousands are expected to turn up on the corner of High Oak Road and Kingsway, in Ware, to enjoy fireworks and a bonfire.

Gates will open at 5.30pm. The bonfire will be lit around 6.30pm and the firework display is expected to begin around 7pm.

Ticket prices are £5 for adults and £3 for children under-14. A family ticket for two adults and two children costs £13.

As in previous years, there will also be some funfair attractions as well as stalls selling hot food and drinks.

Both Grasmere Road and the section of High Oak Road between Kingsway and Musley Hill will be closed to traffic on the night between 5pm and 8.30pm, for the safety of people attending the event.

The popular display is once again organised by the three Rotary Clubs that meet in the town – Amwell, Ware and Hertford Shires.

Despite dire weather forecasts last year, the weather was fine and more than £10,000 was raised for charities and good causes supported by Rotary.
