IT’S that time of the month again for another concert at Friends Meeting House in Welwyn Garden City.
The February concert takes place tonight (Sunday) from 6pm and will feature Brahms and Beethoven pieces for violin and piano.
Organisers of Friends Music are delighted to welcome back local violinist Joanna West, who last appeared at the Handside Lane venue in 2010 with her Springfield String Quartet.
This time she is joined by renowned pianist Mark Smith in a wide ranging programme of music for violin and piano.
They will be playing Brahms’ Sonata Op. 100, Beethoven’s Sonata Op. 30 No. 2 and Kreisler’s Praeludium and Allegro, as well as a variety of lighter pieces.
Admission is free and the concert will raise money for the Musicians Benevolent Fund. Friends Meeting House is at 109 Handside Lane.
