Enter Shikari’s forthcoming fourth studio album is on “another level”, according to the record’s producer.

The St Albans post-hardcore quartet finished recording the follow-up to A Flash Flood of Colour on Saturday.

It is produced by Dan Weller, who took to Twitter to describe the recording process in a series of tweets.

And he sung the praises of frontman Rou Reynolds, drummer Rob Rolfe, guitarist Rory Clewlow and bassist Chris Batten, who will play a sold-out festival warm-up gig at The Forum Hertfordshire in Hatfield later this month.

Weller (@DanWeller) tweeted: “My @ENTERSHIKARI ALBUM 4 journey is complete for now. Over to Jeremy Wheatley for mixing. What an incredible 5 weeks it has been.

“Along with being some of my best friends in music I can honestly say that @ENTERSHIKARI have been a pleasure to work with once again.

“The album is another level to what they’ve achieved before. I’m so proud. Special props to the living genius that is @RouReynolds.”

Enter Shikari released debut album Take to the Skies in 2007, and second long player Common Dreads two years later. Top five smash A Flash Flood of Colour came out in 2012.

Shikari have also released a live album – Live From Planet Earth – Bootleg Series Vol. 3 – which was recorded at one of their “homecoming” gigs at The Forum in Hatfield.

Last year the group released three singles – The Paddington Frisk, Radiate and Rat Race.

* Tickets for the band’s intimate UK date in Hatfield on Thursday, June 26 have sold out.

Pick up a copy of this week’s Welwyn Hatfield Times, out now, for the chance to win a pair of tickets to the show.
