ONE of the stars of hit TV series Downton Abbey is set to appear live in concert in Hatfield later this month.
Downton Abbey star Elizabeth McGovern will appear with Big Country at the Forum Hertfordshire in HatfieldAmerican actress Elizabeth McGovern, who appears in the hugely popular ITV period drama as Lady Cora, Countess of Grantham, will appear in concert with Big Country when they play the University of Hertfordshire’s Forum venue on Friday, June 22.
As well as teaming up with the Scottish rockers on their Crossing The Solent pre-Isle of Wight Festival tour, the 50-year-old rock chick will also perform with her band, Sadie and The Hotheads.
The former Oscar nominee said: “I am thrilled to be playing with such a stellar cast of musicians and look forward greatly to performing with Big Country – and of course my band Sadie and The Hotheads.”
Big Country bass player Tony Butler said: “We had a tradition of working with great female vocalists such as Kate Bush and Eddie Reader in the past.

Big Country formed in November 1981 and recently celebrated their 30th anniversary by performing their classic 1983 album The Crossing live in its entirety.
The Crossing features anthemic hits Fields of Fire, In A Big Country and Chance.
