There will be road closures, diversions and possible traffic delays in Hatfield on Saturday when a major electronic dance music festival comes to town.
Around 10,000 revellers and a host of international DJs will descend on Hatfield House for the 2014 Eastern Electrics Festival tomorrow (Saturday).
Motorists are being warned of possible delays in the vicinity of Old Hatfield as festival-goers arrive for the all-day underground house and techno extravaganza.
The stretch of road outside Hatfield Railway Station will be closed and the car park shut.
Diversions will be in place on nearby roads.
With the railway station just across the road from the entrance to Hatfield House, a significant number of music fans are also expected to arrive by train.
A sprawling musical wonderland, Eastern Electrics took place in the grounds of Knebworth House last summer, and was a three-day, two-night event in 2013.
This weekend’s all-day festival runs from 11am until 10pm on Saturday in Hatfield Park, and incorporates seven stages and more than 40 DJs and live acts.
An after-show party will then take place at The Coronet Theatre, at Elephant and Castle, in London.
