Mixing up soul, jazz, funk and hip hop, the six (sometimes seven)-piece outfit will be at the Stevenage venue on Friday night.

Plucking songs from all over the shop – including tracks by Adele, Dr Dre, Amy Winehouse, Mother Earth, Jay Z, Jessie J and Average White Band - as well as their own material, the band from Hitchin, Stevenage and Welwyn promise a night “as groovy as Huggy Bear’s flares”.

Drummer Gaz Johnstone said: “We play cool songs that you may know but wouldn’t necessarily expect. We’re just trying to do something that others aren’t and offer something fresh and exciting.”

Entry is free at The Hyde pub, which has begun weekly live Friday music nights.
