Following a spate of rather grisly attacks on people in America, the CDC (Centre for Disease Control) recently had to issue a denial that there was a zombie apocalypse taking place. No, honestly – they did.

Unfortunately, nobody told the good people of WGC because the undead are coming this week.

To celebrate the start of the new Attack From Planet B season of cult films being shown on the first Thursday of every month, the Hawthorne Theatre cinema will be showing the original 1978 Dawn Of The Dead.

And audience members are being encouraged to get their zombie attire on and shuffle on down in their best funerary garb.

There will be prizes of Blu-ray discs, tickets for future Planet B films, and more. All you have to do is put your best (rotted) foot forward and show off your make up (de)compositions.

Future Attack From Planet B films will include The Warriors, Them!, Rambo: First Blood, and Re-Animator.

Tickets for each are just £5, so you’ve no excuse for not sitting back and enjoying come of the best cult movies around. But if you come to Dawn Of The Dead, be careful – the guy next to you may want to munch on more than just your popcorn…

Attack From Planet B: Dawn of the Dead (18) is at the Hawthorne Cinema on Thursday, September 6 at 7.45pm.
