Hertfordshire-based vocal trio Said The Maiden will be playing eight pubs in one night to help publicise next week’s MusicCity Unsigned 2 (MCU2) concert at the Alban Arena in St Albans.

Their well-matched vocals and gorgeous arrangements bring new life to traditional folk songs. Still buzzing from the success of supporting the Fisherman’s Friends at the Arena last month, Said The Maiden will attempt to perform a few songs at eight different venues from 8pm.

They will start from The Boot and then visit The Fighting Cocks, The Goat, The White Lion, Garibaldi, The White Hart Tap, The Farmer’s Boy and The Horn over the following three hours.

MCU2 is an opportunity for local bands and singer-songwriters to perform at the Alban Arena, with the lucky bands voted for by the public.

Opening MusicCity fortnight, this year’s MCU2 on Saturday, March 16 will see the return of the ever-popular Waiting For Katherine joined by newcomers Jegisus, Said The Maiden and Chameleon Boy.

The Horn will be supplying the tunes and keeping the music flowing throughout the night between sets and will later host an after-show party in Victoria Street.
