A COMEDIC poetry collaboration which kicks off a 10-month tour can be seen at the Maltings Arts Theatre in St Albans tomorrow night (Friday).

Paul Eccentric and Ian Newman, who are collectively know as The Antipoet, are joined by Mark Niel, dubbed the Poet Laureate of Milton Keynes, for the start of their Rhythm Method tour.

The Antipoet have been described as taking poetry to a new level while Mark Niel is making it his business to change perceptions that Milton Keynes is all about concrete cows and somewhere for Londoners to park to travel into the capital.

Spikedrivers, a collaboration between three blues roots artists, Fran and Mike McGillivray and Sam Hare, are appearing at Shades of Blue in the arts theatre on Saturday night.

Joined by three other musicians and each with their own distinctive style both in performance and song-writing, their voices come together in different combinations for the blues roots revue.
