King helps out on TV show Speed with Guy Martin
Wednesday, January 8, 2014
The four-programme series sees Isle of Man TT motorcycle racer and mechanic Martin undertake a series of speed-based challenges, exploring the boundaries of physics and learning about the science of speed.
In episode four Martin attempts to sledge at 170mph down a mountain in Switzerland.
Utilising the synergies between steering a dragbike and a sledge, King advises and coaches Martin in how to run a Prostock Bike down the quarter-mile and in fitting and using a parachute system similar to that used on the Gulf Oil Dragracing motorcycle that King rides in competition.
To see how the challenge goes tune in to Channel 4 on Sunday, January 19 at 8pm.
