Royston Town have bowed out in the Southern League Division One Central play-off semi-finals for the second season running after losing 2-1 to AFC Rushden & Diamonds in a game that finished 10-a-side at Garden Walk tonight (Tuesday).

Royston Town will need to negotiate the Southern League Division One Central play-offs if they are to secure promotion this season after drawing 1-1 with 10-man Egham Town at Garden Walk this afternoon (Saturday).

Royston Town gave themselves a fighting chance of stealing the Southern League Division One Central title from under the noses of Kings Langley as they beat Aylesbury 3-2 last night (Thursday).
