Royston Mixed 48 Omega 21

ROYSTON finished the Turnford League season unbeaten with a comprehensive win after they got off to a vigorous start.

Tracy Stimson and Gayle Pledger used the Omega net for shooting practice and sent their team into the second quarter on the back of a hefty lead.

For the second quarter Royston remained unchanged with both Anna Pinner and Regan Rooney a pleasure to watch in defence, and the pairing fielded important interceptions which they then released for their attacking players to capitalise on.

The centre court combination of Karen Hume, Emily St John and Davies were also on form in the third quarter as Royston dominated Omega and pushed further ahead, and the fourth quarter continued in the same vain for the league champions.

Royston: Hume, Davies, St John, Stimson, Rooney, Pinner Pledger.
