Last week's NHTTA League results provided some encouragement for Royston with three victories from the four matches played. In the Premier Division, the A team improved on their draw in the previous match with Le Roi B by winning 7-3. Paul Robertson won all his singles and the doubles with Kevin Moore who also managed two singles. Mike Malone won one. But it was another defeat for the B team against Le Roi A. Dave Bridger and Simon Cockman managed a rare doubles success and the three singles games conceded by the two-man opposition provided a 6-4 defeat. In Division Two both teams recorded 6-4 victories. The C team at Cardstock where Haydn Gowan won all three singles supported by two from Gordon Barnes and one from Terry Bailey. Two singles each from Derek Clark, Larry Mercez and Rob Vassallo gave the D team victory against Bedwell F.
