A host of talented swimmers from Royston have been celebrating this week after all their hard work and dedication has paid off.

The hugely successful Royston Swimming Club have been hailed after clinching a well-earned promotion to Division One at the Hertfordshire Major League gala at the end of March.

The major triumph for the popular club full of passionate swimmers saw them clinch their elevation in a tight contest. However, the club dominated in the last few races to seal a joyous promotion.

As well as enjoying league success, Royston also has swimmers competing at county and regional level with two swimmers who started with club now swimming at National level.

Club stalwart Jan Scott told Crow Sport: “A big well done to all swimmers at the club.”
