COLIN Lawrence won Royston Golf Club's Seniors March Medal.

Lawrence overcame his opponents with a net 72, ahead of Jim Hopkins' net 74.

Both players have seen their handicaps tumble in the last 12 months, but are still able to keep to maintain consistently low scores.

Club captain Roy Ward,returned from injury to finish in third place.

Peter Mitchell, playing in a minor seniors competition, recorded his fourth hole in one, with his six-iron shot flying straight at the flagstick and disappearing down the hole.
