Royston hold Club Championship finals day

THE first Club Championship finals to be held at Royston Tennis Club’s new courts got underway on Saturday.

The minis played in the morning and in the U8 mini red section, Harry Lee beat William Hamblin to take the Raymond Beaver Trophy. In the U9 mini Orange section Sam Turner beat Owen Wood to take the Martin Beaver Trophy while in the U10 mini Green section, Edward Kershaw beat Clara Hilborn to take the V&B Trophy.

The Juniors played their rounds in the afternoon and in the U13 final James Lee beat Gareth Byles while in the U16 section Lewis Harley beat Isaac Pickett.
