Your chance to be part of Olympic Torch Relay through Welwyn Hatfield

A CALL for volunteers to help steward the crowds expected as the Olympic Torch passes through Welwyn Hatfield launches today.

The flame will pass the borough’s most prestigious landmarks, including the Coronation Fountain and Parkway in WGC, as well as Hatfield House and the University of Hertfordshire in Hatfield.

And crowds are expected at every part of the route.

Welwyn Hatfield Council is looking for volunteer stewards to hold back the crowds and get a unique view of the race.
