Royston Ladies III 0 Blueharts II 3

A GOOD performance from Royston could not prevent table-topping Blueharts leaving Bassingbourn with the Five Counties League points.

Blueharts scored within the first 10 minutes and scored again shortly afterwards. Sarah Warren and Kirtsy Penfold had some wonderful play down the right and both had several attempts at goal but were unlucky not to score.

After the break Royston came out more confident and were unlucky to concede a third.

They had several more attempts at goal and Blueharts came back but excellent defending from Sarah Holland, Gemma Luckman and player-of-the-match Teresa Smith kept them at bay.

Goalkeeper Tash Ball, coming back from a broken hand, played a solid game in goal and made several fine saves.
