ROYSTON and District Angling Club's Fur and Feather match took place at Thriplow Reservoir on Sunday.

The start was in a downpour, but once this had passed the weather was not too bad apart from a biting wind.

Chris Monk won the event with 8 lbs 5 oz, Kelvin Stanford was second with 7 lbs 2 oz and Jamie McGuire was third with 3 lbs 11.5 oz.

The match raised £105 for Meldreth Manor School and the committee would like to thank the Country Store and Frog End Pet Supplier for supplying raffle prizes.

The committee would like to offer our best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all its members.
