ROYSTON Tennis Club continued their great start to their Winter League action with another unbeaten weekend for their first teams.

The men's first team of Andy Holmes, John Goodbody, Ralph Betts, and John Holmes beat Papworth away 5-3, while the ladies beat Saffron Walden seconds away 8-0.

Pru Burton, Christine Knight, Kathy Betts and Emma Daintrey impressed throughout, with their opponents having little in reply.

However, the mixed second team were beaten at home by Burwell first team 2 - 6.

The junior under-11s also suffered a defeat, which was their first of the season, losing 5-1 against Brookmans Park. Despite playing well, the home side proved too strong for Nathan O'Looney, Gus Rees, Bonnie Townsend, and Emily Griffin.
