McGuire takes evening match victory at Thriplow

THE first evening match of the season was fished at Thriplow Reservoir on Friday. The event was won by Steve McGuire with 10 lbs 9 oz, second was Andrea Wright with 7 lbs 4 oz and Rick Arber came third with 6 lbs 10 oz. The next evening match will be on F

THE first evening match of the season was fished at Thriplow Reservoir on Friday.

The event was won by Steve McGuire with 10 lbs 9 oz, second was Andrea Wright with 7 lbs 4 oz and Rick Arber came third with 6 lbs 10 oz.

The next evening match will be on Friday, July with the draw at 5.30pm and fishing from 6pm until 9pm.

The first PC Match fished at Thriplow Reservoir on Saturday, in conjunction with Rugby Cement and Eternit angling clubs, was won by Jamie McGuire of Royston with 49 lbs 13 oz.

Second was Royston and Rugby Cement's Kelvin Stanford with 27 lbs 11 oz and third, from all three clubs, was Brian Newman with 16 lbs 9 oz.

Diane Fuller of Royston and Rugby Cement came fourth with 10 lbs 15 oz.
