ROYSTON Golf Club junior members Jordan Hardwidge and Jonathan Windle played their part in securing a 9-6 victory for Cambridgeshire County under-14s against their Norfolk counterparts.

The annual match was this year held at Ryston Park in Norfolk and Jordan, the team captain who plays off a 13 handicap, claimed a maximum of two points for his two matches and Jonathan, with a handicap of 17, claimed one-and-a-half points.

Jordan said: "All our hard work and practice over the winter months has paid off.

"We are really pleased to come from behind to win. It shows great team spirit.
