DAVID Gaillard won the Captain’s Day at Heydon Grange Golf Club on Saturday.

DAVID Gaillard won the Captain’s Day at Heydon Grange Golf Club on Saturday.

He won the 18-hole stableford competition with 38 points after countback while Heather Neill came out on top in the Ladies Trophy. David Baker won the seniors competition.

Over 80 members and guests took part in the Captain’s Day and before play commenced, club captain, Chris Collinson, called for a minutes silence in memory of member John Muir who passed away suddenly last week.

More than £1,500 was raised for this year’s club charities, namely Red Balloon, which supports bullied children and guide dogs for the blind.
