ROYSTON provided the bulk of the squad as North Herts under-11s district football team represented Hertfordshire at the South of England regional finals at Greenwich. They were unlucky to lose 2-0 in their first game against Inner London representatives L

ROYSTON provided the bulk of the squad as North Herts under-11s district football team represented Hertfordshire at the South of England regional finals at Greenwich.

They were unlucky to lose 2-0 in their first game against Inner London representatives Lewisham, but with four youngsters already on professional deals Lewisham were always going to prove difficult opponents.

The second game saw North Herts share a 0-0 result with Chiltern and South Bucks and in their third match an impressive 1-1 draw was secured against Newham, the winners of the Essex finals.

Scoring for North Herts was Josh Holmes.
