GOALS from Dickie Harris, Jason Clark and a Kevin Barthrop double saw the Vets coast to a comfortable win at the weekend.

Peter Leete was the creator for both the opening goals, and despite picking up an ankle injury, continued to create chances throughout for the visitors.

A rare Barthrop header set Royston on the road, after he got on the end of a pin-point Clark cross and rounded off a flowing attacking move.

Colin McArthur, who replaced Merv Chaffey in goal at half-time, pulled off two superb reflex saves in the closing minutes to ensure a clean sheet for the confident Vets.

- This Sunday the Vets travel to Hertford to face Goldin Old Boys

Royston Town Vets: M Chaffey, I King, I Stubbs, N King, K Flack, J Clark, D Quinn, R Harris, P Leete, P Lewis, K Barthrop, M Jackson, I Allen, C McArthur.
