FA Youth Cup draw could pair Welwyn Garden City and St Albans City together

St Albans City and Welwyn Garden City are on a collision course after the draws for the early rounds of the FA Youth Cup were made.

The two sides are set to meet in the first qualifying round at Herns Lane if they can get past their preliminary round opponents.

For WGC that is Cheshunt, who they are away to, or Ware who will travel to Clarence Park.

Elsewhere in the preliminary round there is a repeat of the FA Cup as the youth teams of Aveley and Potters Bar Town meet in Essex, just as their senior counterparts do.

Royston Town will host Chelmsford City while Hitchin Town are at home to Barking.

There are also home games for Codicote and Colney Heath. They play Takeley and Ashford Town respectively.

The preliminary round ties will be played in the week commencing Monday, September 3, while the first qualifying round matches take place a fortnight later.

63 Hitchin Town or Barking v Woodford Town or Grays Athletic

66 Redbridge or Hullbridge Sports v Royston Town or Chelmsford City

69 Cheshunt or Welwyn Garden City v St Albans City or Ware

71 Aveley or Potters Bar Town v Witham Town or East Thurrock United

80 Colney Heath or Ashford Town (Middx) v Northwood or Brimsdown
